Today, we awoke to cold and rain. Terry went to the church to work til after lunch and we stayed at the house. The kids lay around all morning like rugs, reading, playing video games and generally being slugs. This afternoon, Terry and I went out for groceries. Some things are universal. Sam's looks exactly the same in Alaska as it does in Oklahoma!
They did this for hours, only stopping for food. So we jumped on the opportunity and dragged them out for burgers.
Arriving at the world famous Arctic Roadhouse, we were sorry to see the patio closed, but undeterred, we found a booth overlooking the stream and enjoyed homemade burgers and fries.
Is that Hedwig we saw at the Arctic Roadhouse? I think I sense a Harry Potter film festival in the near future.
But not tonight. After our walk up the road after dinner (some of us need a little physical activity for the day even if it is at 9:30 in our sunglasses!), it's a few episodes of 24 and off to bed.
